Starting February 10, 2025, the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Free Replacement feature will be available for Amazon customers to select replacements rather than returns for FBA orders.
FBA Free Replacement is an alternative to traditional product return-and-refund. The feature streamlines the product exchange process and encourages customers to choose product replacements over refunds. This new feature will help you improve your FBA return rate and retain sales from eligible customer returns.
No action is required of you. Your FBA inventory will be automatically enrolled for this feature, and there are no additional fees for FBA replacement orders.
If a customer chooses the FBA Free Replacement option, a replacement order will be automatically placed for the same product. If you no longer have that product in your inventory, the FBA Free Replacement option will not be visible to the customer. The returned product will go through the current return inspection process and added back into your FBA inventory per the inspection outcome.
Once a replacement order is released, you can track the replacement orders from the FBA Replacement Report on Seller Central. You can use the FNSKU or Amazon order ID to search and review replacement orders.
